Welcome to our site for Talking Statues AI.

Rooted in a rich history, Talking Statues takes a leap into the world of AI with this exciting project. The idea of talking statues goes way back— all the way to 1600s Rome, where a project by the same name was launched. Back then, Romans made statues “talk” by posting notes on them. This tradition continues today in Rome, where six talking statues still exchange notes.

Fast forward to 2013, the modern Talking Statues project began in Copenhagen with the statue of Hans Christian Andersen, which became the world’s first talking statue. Now, 13 years later, we’re introducing Talking Statues powered by AI.

We continue to produce Talking Statues the traditional way, with actors bringing the statues to life. But now, in collaboration with ElevenLabs, we also bring you AI-driven conversations that make cultural heritage more interactive than ever.
